He is the founder and the CEO of ART21. He is a serial entrepreneur and a business angel in FoodTech and AgTech businesses. Also, he was the first one in Lithuania who managed to attract VC financing for the AgriFood Tech sector. Starting from 2008, investments in companies managed by him have grown to more than 10 million EUR. Augustas Alešiūnas’ company provides precise farming and grain management AgroSmart solutions for more than 85% of Baltic market. He actively invests into AgriFood Tech solutions based on Raman spectrometry, AI and blockchain technologies. Last year, ART21 represented Lithuania in the World Summit Awards in the category of Environment and Green Energy. Also, the company was included in the list of Lithuanian TOP startups by European technology news platform Sifted supported by the Financial Times.
He is Head of Agro Precision Technology Division at Agrokoncernas and has more than 10 years experience in the the agriculture business. He is interested in innovations, new things and putting theoretical knowledge into practice business. Now Arnas focused on delivering excellent customer service and value-added solutions to meet customer needs and improve performance.
She is Associated Professor and Senior Researcher at Departments of Agroecosystems and Soil Sciences of Agronomy Faculty of Vytautas Magnus University. In 2019 she was selected as a Member of the Mission Board for “Soil Health and Food” in EU framework programme of European Commission for research and innovation “Horizon Europe”. Her field of research: sustainable soil and crop residues management, soil health, soil organic matter, soil biological activity, agrochemical and agrophysical parameters, use of bioactivators in crop growing technologies, crop and weed allelopathy, precision agriculture.
He is the Head of Institute of Agroecosystems and Soil Sciences at Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy. His research interests include agro-ecosystem sustainability, tillage and soil quality, sustainable and organic farming, crop rotation.
He is the editor of the journal “Verslo Klase”. He will be the moderator of the discussion.
